St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone seeks a competent and thorough part-time school cleaner to join our team of housekeeping staff.
Candidates should be prepared to work unsupervised for 15 hours per week during term-time (Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 09:30 or 17:00 to 20:00). There may be some flexibility to start and finish later than these times if required and this can be discussed at interview. A further 90 hours of work will be required across the three main school holidays (Christmas, Easter, Summer) in order to deep-clean the school. Cover for absent cleaners in our other areas may be offered at times.
We are keen to hear from anyone who has prior experience of domestic or commercial cleaning. A good knowledge of health and safety is essential, as is a keen attention to detail and an awareness and understanding of a school environment. The role requires a reasonable level of physical fitness, as it involves tasks such as moving equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in different environments around the school.
