Overview
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding structures for various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A background in masonry, carpentry, or related fields will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble scaffolding systems according to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow.
- Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate and adjust scaffolding components.
- Perform regular inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure stability and safety.
- Assist with painting and finishing tasks as required on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in plumb and level techniques to ensure proper alignment of scaffolding.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in scaffold building.
Requirements
- Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction trade is preferred.
- Familiarity with masonry techniques, welding, and carpentry skills is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffold construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
- A valid construction-related certification or qualification is an asset.
- Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to quality workmanship.
