Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. You will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to creating delicious sandwiches that keep our customers coming back for more.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Perform basic maths calculations for portioning ingredients and managing stock levels.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for accurate ingredient measurement and inventory tracking.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- A passion for food and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences.
