Sales Consultant (WES) (37 hours per week, Permanent)
Location: Contractual base in Pearl House, Peterborough or Salvus House, Durham with hybrid working opportunities and occasional travel to either office location
Salary: £25,733 - £32,165 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Wave’s Water Efficiency Services (WES) team is tasked with delivering a range of value adding and ancillary services to help Wave’s business customers reduce their water consumption and play their part to address water scarcity and adapt to climate change.
Sales Consultant role will play an important tactical role in helping the Water Efficiency Services team deliver on its financial and water saving goals, through the active offer of our Active Water Management® services to Wave’s customers.
This will include making direct sales calls to customers (both cold and from warm leads), handling inbound enquiries and preparing, issuing and chasing proposals for our services. In addition you’ll be playing the lead role in direct customer recruitment for participation in Wave water efficiency projects.

WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
- Proactively promote and sell Wave’s range of Active Water Management® services, making direct contact with customers via range of communication methods including making proactive outbound calls, receiving inbounds call and email communication
- Maintaining our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and updating customer information to enrich our prospect data as well as ensuring all data is handled/stored in line with requirements of the Data Protection Act (DPA) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- Supporting customer recruitment for Wave lead water efficiency initiatives by making direct contact with eligible customers to recruit them on to Wave lead water efficiency projects and initiatives
- Liaising with contractors and end customers to book water savings visits at mutually convenient date/time and ensuring customers are fully aware of the scope of works and are provided with all relevant information (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) prior to visits to ensure their success.
- Writing and issuing proposals for range of Active Water Management services and actively chasing these to secure sales.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- A strong understanding of the end-to-end sales process and key sales techniques
- Excellent telephone manner
- Fully IT literate and competent in the use of MS Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort and experience in talking to a wide range of audiences over telephone and email communication
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders via remote communication (phone/email)
- Self starter with ability to work independently
