As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Trade Counter Staff.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Trade Counter Staff member to be the face of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving customers, handling sales inquiries, processing orders, and providing expert advice on our wide range of roofing products. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions for their projects.

Work Hours & Holidays:
Monday - Friday : 6:30am to 16:30pm
Saturdays 7:00am to 11:00am
20 Days holiday + all bank holidays and a break for Christmas.
Job Description
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in person and on the phone.
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently (cash, card, and trade accounts).
- Provide technical support and product information to customers.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the smooth operation of the shop.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-stocked trade counter area.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working in a trade counter, builders' merchant, or similar retail environment is essential.
- A strong understanding of roofing materials and construction products is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
