Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Administrator to join our team in the generator sales industry. In this role, you will be responsible for handling sales enquiries, generating documents, and building long-lasting relationships with customers in both residential and commercial sectors. Your primary focus will be on assisting the team on selling power generators, related equipment, and services to meet the energy needs of diverse clients, including homeowners, businesses, and industrial facilities and sites. There will be cross-over responsibilities with our sister company Target Hire, but this will stay in the boundaries of Sales Hire.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Process Support: Assist with sales operations from initial inquiry to final dispatch of goods, ensuring a seamless customer journey.
- Documentation Management: Generate and maintain accurate quotes, proposals, order forms, and dispatch documents.
- Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their power requirements and offering tailored solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Gain a solid understanding of our generator product range (diesel, petrol, portable, standby) and advise customers accordingly.
- Customer Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and support delivery of quotes, proposals, and product demonstrations for both sales and hire.
- Customer Support: Collaborate with technical and service teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation, and after-sales service.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress toward sales goals using CRM software.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support business development.
- Travel: Visit client sites as needed for meetings, site assessments, or delivery coordination.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a sales administration role.
- Experience in the generator, energy, or heavy equipment industry is preferred but not essential.
- Education:
- Background in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Administration is advantageous.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Keen attention to detail and teamwork mindset
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand generator specifications
- Confident working independently and as part of a small team
- Self-motivated with solid time management skills
- Other Requirements:
- Valid UK driver’s license.
- Registered to legally work in the UK.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the designated sales/hire territory.
