Transglobal Express is an international parcel company. We are now seeking an experienced route planner / controller.
This role requires a proactive and experience router to join our fast paced transport operations teams in Hayes. This is a key role in the business where you will be overseeing up to 23 routes / drivers across Greater London and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- planning and optimising routes using Maxoptra software.
- Liaising with drivers throughout the day to monitor performance and make real time adjustments.
- Respond quickly and effectively to route changes, customer requests and operational issues.
- Prioritising and organising workloads to ensure timely collections and compliance with all safety standards.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in route planning
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Greater London and surrounding areas
- Experience of managing drivers
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.
- A pro active hands on approach with the flexibility to adapt to a fast changing environment.
