Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery and childcare services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to effectively communicate with both staff and parents. As a Room Leader, you will manage daily activities, supervise staff, and ensure that children receive the highest standard of care and education.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the room during your shift, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive work atmosphere.
- Delegate tasks efficiently to ensure all areas are effectively covered by your team.
- Implement early childhood education programmes that promote learning through play.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety regulations in accordance with the policies.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and provide feedback to parents.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
You need to have:
- Proven leadership experience in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Background in early childhood education is a necessity.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines and maintain a productive team environment.
- Ability to understand and address the needs of your team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and wellbeing.
