We now have a great opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our Housekeeping Team. Experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The main role of the Housekeeping Room Attendant is to ensure guest bedrooms are cleaned to hotel standard and ready to let for that business day. You may occasionally also be required to assist with the cleanliness of the hotel Public Areas.
Holiday Inn Maidstone Sevenoaks has 106 guest bedrooms and is located off the M26, 15 minutes drive from central Maidstone. This makes it a perfect destination for families and couples to enjoy many of our great local Kent attractions.
Hours will be approximate 5 hours per day.
The role is initially casual with a view to go contracted for 30 hours per week after a 3 month probation period.
You may be expected to work up to 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis.
The role is physical, and will involve lifting.
You will need to be able to travel to and from the hotel as we are not on a main line bus route or train route.
Your Role and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms to hotel standards.
- Clean the public areas of the hotel, including the reception area, lounge and bar to hotel standards.
- Project a smart image at all times by complying fully with grooming and uniform/dress regulations and by maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene
- Comply fully with all regulations relating to Health & Safety, Food Handling, Fire Procedures and COSHH
- Comply fully with all regulations designed to protect the security and safety of the guest and staff and the property of the guest, the company and other employees
Qualifications
- Previous hotel experience in a housekeeping role desirable but not essential
- Strong hospitality skills and customer service orientation
- Janitorial experience with a focus on cleanliness and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
