Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction techniques and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret schematics to ensure high-quality workmanship in all projects.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Perform welding tasks as required for specific projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
- Engage in fabrication processes to create custom woodwork or structural components.
- Conduct roofing installations and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
- Lift heavy materials and equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
- Carpentry techniques and practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and drills.
- Familiarity with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns.
- Basic plumbing skills for integrating fixtures into wooden structures.
- Knowledge of masonry work when required for specific projects.
