Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal.
- Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues and recommend repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning gutters and replacing damaged roofing materials.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical labour as required during installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and other relevant skills is advantageous.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
