Reward Specialist | London | FTC – 9 months

For over 35 years, Aesop has carefully cultivated an inspiring and inclusive environment in which our employees are supported and encouraged to thrive. As a global retail organisation, we offer professional development and advancement opportunities to complement career goals and aspirations.

Our approach to skin care involves meticulous attention to detail, using only the most efficacious ingredients to create formulations which stir the self and senses. The same meticulous approach is taken during our recruitment process, seeking out considered and inspired individuals with a wealth of perspectives who bring out the best in themselves and others.

We aim to strike the right balance between people, planet and profit, actively reducing our footprint on the planet that generously sustains us. So far, this journey has led us to become a certified B Corp. We are committed to building a more sustainable and inclusive society.

Role purpose

The Reward Specialist focuses on the delivery of the 2025/2026 year-end cycle across Aesop. Reporting into the Global Reward Lead, the successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for all Reward-related queries and work closely with the HRIS, People Services and Talent teams to effectively deliver a great employee experience.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to –

  • Actively participate in the review, implementation and delivery of the annual year-end compensation review process (salary review, bonus allocation, equity adjustments) across global markets.

  • Collaborate with global HR and finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reward practices across all regions.

  • Contribute to B Corp certification requirements from a Reward perspective, ensuring our compensation and benefits practices align with B Corp standards for employee well-being and equity.

  • Manage and provide advice on local compensation and benefits programs for Aesop employees in the UK, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market competitiveness.

  • Support the annual UK salary review and bonus processes, ensuring accurate data, timely execution, and clear communication.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to HR Business Partners and managers on compensation and benefits-related matters for UK employees.

  • Participate in ad-hoc rewards projects and initiatives as required, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the HR function.

  • Ensure data integrity within HRIS systems related to compensation and benefits.

This is a full-time position on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026, operating on a hybrid working pattern of three days per week based at Aesop’s London Bridge-based head office and two days per week remote working. For candidates invited to interview, we intend to discuss the potential opportunity to transfer to L’Oréal, Aesop’s parent company, in a similar Reward position following successful completion of this FTC.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a Reward, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Analyst role, preferably within a fast-paced, global organization.

  • Demonstrable experience with annual compensation cycles and year-end review processes.

  • Familiarity with UK compensation and benefits regulations and market practices is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) is essential.

  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment.

What’s on offer

We take a holistic approach to employment, promoting professional development, career growth, employee wellbeing initiatives and encouraging deep connections with the local community through the Aesop Foundation, volunteering and matched giving programs. Employee benefits include -

  • Flexible, hybrid working pattern

  • Generous product discount allowance and bi-annual complimentary product allocation

  • Paid volunteering allowance for all employees

  • Suite of options to aid development, including complimentary access to LinkedIn Learning, in-house Product and Core skills training and study support opportunities

  • Access to employee assistance programmes, complimentary subscription to Headspace mindfulness app and summer hours options.

Aesop is committed to attracting, developing and retaining the very best people by offering a creative and inclusive workplace where talent is truly recognised and rewarded. We are committed to promoting inclusion for all with the belief that diversity, inclusion and belonging plays an important role in the success of our organisation. We actively encourage everyone to consider becoming a part of our journey.
