Gill Marsh Forecourts is an expanding operator of Spar convenience stores and forecourts, committed to providing exceptional customer service and a wide range of products that meet the needs of our community. We take pride in delivering quality and convenience, and we’re looking for a Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by assisting customers with their purchases and answering inquiries.
- Upselling & Promotion: Use upselling techniques to boost sales and highlight key store products.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience.
- Restocking: Help restock shelves and keep the store fully stocked at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks efficiently to ensure a quick and seamless customer experience.
- Kitchen Support: Train in the kitchen to cover breaks and assist with evening bakes such as preparing fresh food items for customers (e.g., pastries, sandwiches, pizzas).
Shift Availability:
- Day Shifts: Between 11am-8pm / 10am-7pm
- Morning shifts: From 6am - 2pm
- Evening shifts: Between 2pm - 10pm
- This role is initially for 15 hours per week, but additional hours may be available based on business needs.
- There will be at least one weekend shift.
What We’re Looking For:
- Retail or Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is preferred but not essential.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and the team effectively.
- Time Management: The ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean UK Driving Licence: Required for the role.
- Team Player: You must be someone who enjoys working with others in a collaborative environment.
