Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated waiter/waitress to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a server, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent guest services, timely food delivery, and a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to manage time effectively and work well in a team will contribute significantly to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations based on guest preferences and restaurant specials.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring that all orders are correct and presented beautifully.
- Assist with daily set up and organisation.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while providing attentive service to all guests.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
Requirements
- Advanced English speaking skills.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong guest services skills with a passion for helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to engage with guests and team members alike.
