Restaurant Supervisor – Basset Down Complex

Family-run for 20 years, we have built a strong reputation for great food and warm hospitality. Located just minutes from J16 of the M4, we are easily commutable from Marlborough, Cirencester, and Chippenham. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, we are particularly proud of our busy Sunday lunch trade and reputation for fresh, seasonal menus.
We are looking for an additional experienced, Restaurant Supervisor to support our Front of House team, ensure smooth daily operations, and maintain the high standards our clients expect.
Although based within a leisure complex, this role is very much centred on the restaurant — our 80-seat contemporary space that attracts clients who come specifically for the food and hospitality we are known for.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating the FOH team during service
- Ensuring every client receives attentive, professional service
- Managing staffing levels, daily tasks, and communication
- Overseeing opening/closing procedures, cashing up, and stock control
- Processing all manner of restaurant emails e.g. customer enquiries, pre-orders, deposits & allergens.
- Supporting bar operations, placing orders with suppliers
- Working closely with the kitchen team to always ensure seamless service
About you:
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Calm under pressure with a practical, client-focused approach
- Knowledge of stock control, bar operations, and cellar standards
- Professional, reliable, and a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
