Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week) and Full time openings
Hours: 4 PM - 10 PM, Friday - Wednesday (flexible hours can be arranged/ Thursdays off)
Job Description:
An Indian restaurant in Blackpool is looking for dynamic and flexible restaurant staff to join our team. The ideal candidates will have strong communication skills in English and the ability to handle multiple roles within the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the chef in food prep
- To maintain the cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen
- To deep clean the kitchen
- For dishes and utensil washing
- Explaining various dishes to customers
- Managing timely dispatch of online and delivery orders
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and going above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience for our guests
- Serving beer and simple cocktails (all appropriate training will be provided)
- Adhering to restaurant systems and processes
- Completing relevant checklists to ensure safety and quality systems are in place
- Ensuring general cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills in English
- Malayalam or one of the Indian language a plus
- Ability to adapt to various roles in the kitchen
- Flexibility to work in various roles within the restaurant
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in a restaurant and kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Malayalam, Tamil, or Hindi is an advantage but not required
