Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Process payments swiftly and accurately, handling cash and card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong guest services skills with a friendly disposition.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Culinary knowledge or experience in food preparation is an advantage.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in both front-of-house and kitchen roles.
