We are seeking a motivated and skilled researcher with a background in epidemiology or public health to support a one-year project focused on heart failure aetiology. Join Prof. Nathalie Conrad’s research group within the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health (NDWRH) toinvestigate the causes of heart failure using large-scale biobank cohorts.
The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting high-quality data analysis and supporting the design and delivery of epidemiological research.
Prof. Conrad’s group specialises in large-scale data analysis, with a particular interest in the intersection between cardiovascular disease and women’s health. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research at the cutting edge of population health and cardiology.
Key Responsibilities of the postholder will include conducting in-depth analyses of large-scale electronic health record (EHR) and biomarker datasets , supporting study design and statistical planning, prepare research outputs for publication and presentation, contribute to project coordination, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
The postholder will hold an MSc in Public Health or Epidemiology, be proficient in R, Stata, or Python for statistical analysis and have demonstrable experience in handling and analysing large-scale datasets, including EHR and biomarker data (e.g. UK Biobank, China Kadoorie Biobank). Specialist knowledge of cardiovascular disease epidemiology, ideally heart failure, the ability to work independently and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential for this role.
