We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Reporting Scientist to become part of our Reporting team based in Cardiff. As a Reporting Scientist, you will be responsible for reviewing and issuing high-quality scientific Expert Reports that provide expert interpretations based on the analytical results obtained.
Hours: 40hrs a week / 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday / office based but will consider hybrid.
The Role:
- Review and issue results in the form of Expert Reports and Certificates of Analysis, ensuring they meet required standards and are delivered within agreed timelines, covering but not limited to hair, breath and sweat.
- Ensure all result reporting is conducted in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and fully complies with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Present results and interpret findings in Courts of Law, when required.
- Maintain and update SOPs to reflect current practices and ensure continued compliance with ISO 17025.
- Stay informed of developments and advancements in the field of hair drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information obtained during sample analysis and do not disclose any details without written consent—unless required to do so by law or court order.
What we’re looking for:
- A relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
- Experience in toxicology reporting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in IT systems, including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
