Repair Field Coordinator
We are looking to recruit a Repair Field Coordinator to join the Team in our London Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical repair techniques to diagnose and rectify issues efficiently, while adhering to strict industry safety standards and regulations. Additionally, the position demands providing guidance to less experienced team members and ensuring effective communication of repair activities and findings to clients and internal teams for continuous improvement. This is full time and permanent role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead complex repair tasks on existing elevator, escalator, and moving walk installations, focusing on comprehensive troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems to achieve efficient and effective functionality
- Conduct detailed assessments to identify defects, coordinate with team members to address issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and inconvenience for occupants, while adhering to industry standards and regulations
- Communicate repair activities and findings to clients and internal teams, ensuring complete documentation, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance transparency and promote continuous process improvement
- Engage with colleagues, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain productive relationships that contribute to seamless and professional interactions aligned with company values and objectives
- All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and Schindler Core Values to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group Safety requirements
- Employees are required to attend all relevant Training Sessions
- Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate Policy
- Employees will be required to contribute to the Company’s Safety Objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its Safety Management System
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in lift/escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent, preferred
- Expert Electrical and Mechanical knowledge/skills, including Multi-Brand equipment
- Possession of expert problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving License
- Good Technical Report writing skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- SAP knowledge beneficial
