Job Title: Relief Security Officer
Location: Sandy and Bedford area
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Job Type: Zero-hour / Relief
Shifts: Day shifts, night shifts, and weekends
Hours: Vary per week depending on site requirements
Job Summary
We are currently recruiting Relief Security Officers to work across various sites around Sandy/Bedford area. This is a great opportunity for someone who is flexible, reliable, and confident working independently across a range of settings.
The ideal candidate will have a valid SIA licence, good communication skills, and the ability to travel to different sites if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access to the premises and verify identification of all visitors and contractors
- Operate security barriers and gates (manual and electronic)
- Carry out regular site patrols using ST tagging systems
- Monitor activity on site and respond appropriately to any incidents
- Communicate clearly using radios (on certain sites)
- Complete basic incident and handover reports
- Assist visitors and contractors as required
What Were Looking For
- A valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
- A valid CCTV licence Preferable
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Comfortable with lone working when necessary
- Flexibility to travel between multiple sites
