About our Nursery

Busy Bees Birmingham QE is an Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 141, located in a two-storey building close to the Queen Elizabeth and Women’s Hospitals. The nursery has strong community ties, particularly with the QE hospital, where it participates in initiatives such as the Harvest Festival, creating Christmas cards for patients without families, and a Reverse Christmas Calendar for donating food, toiletries, and toys to those in need. With excellent transport links, including nearby Selly Oak and University Train stations, and various bus routes from the QE hospital, the nursery is easy to access. Role Responsibilities:
What to Expect as a Relief Early Years Educator:
  • Assist in planning and delivering educational activities that promote children's development.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, fostering strong partnerships with children and their families.
  • Track and report on children's progress through observations and assessments.
Required Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate:
  • Level 3 qualification in early years education.
  • Experience working with children under 5.
  • Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
You may have previous experience working with children, ideally as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Assistant or Nursery Nurse.
