Role responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with developers on rolling out and rolling back features.
- Work closely with the Test Automation team to define and deploy their automation scripts into the release deployment process.
- Make trivial improvements to the release and deployment process as necessary.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to detect problems within a release candidate and help identify the incident causing it.
Skills Required:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a core STEM subject.
- A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Experience with process automation and scripting skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Prior demonstrated experience on defining and then executing a system test suite.
- Strong Unix/Linux knowledge and command line skills with Shell Scripting (Perl or Python useful).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Atlassian toolsets mainly JIRA/Confluence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with a low margin of error and a high level of integrity.
- Prioritize under pressure with minimal supervision.
Skills Desired:
- Experience leading and managing a small team.
- Ability to write ad-hoc scripts
- Experience in agile way of working
- Experience of monitoring and troubleshooting system performance and availability issues
- Foundations in Server Side Java running on Linux.
- Background in production support, DevOps, automation, testing for a distributed Back End application
- An interest to learn the business supported by the applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £42,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
