The Regeneration Officer will oversee the development and delivery of a Regeneration Plan for the Market community, organise regeneration, planning and community wealth building based educational programmes.
Supported by the Department for Communities the Market Development Association are recruiting a Regeneration Officer to put the area on a firm strategic footing in the midst of several large ongoing and forthcoming developments. The Regeneration Officer will oversee the development and delivery of a bespoke Regeneration Plan for the Market community, organise regeneration, planning and community wealth building based educational programmes and work on the strategic development of new and existing projects within the Regeneration Plan.
The post holder will report to the Management Committee of the Market Development Association and will be located full time in MDA offices based in the Market Community Centre.
Summary of work responsibilities and personal duties
•
Coordinate the development of a bespoke regeneration plan for the Market Community, with a consideration for housing, road safety and infrastructure and community wealth building
•
Develop and deliver various components of said plan from development to delivery
•
Organise and coordinate wider neighbourhood improvement schemes and programmes
•
Facilitate community participation in the Planning process, with a view to maximising community efficacy
•
Development and delivery of community organising and engagement programmes
•
Development and delivery of community education and capacity building programmes related to the above
•
Support wider work and mission of the Market Development Association
•
Carry out administrative tasks related to the above
