JOB TITLE
Refuse Collection Operative (Relief driver) - Pembrokeshire & Cardigan
LOCATION
Covering Pembrokeshire & Cardigan in our brand new, specially designed waste collection van! Ideally, you will be located near Milford Haven.
Cover required for Thursday 4th and Friday 5th September. More relief work will likely be available at a later date. Training will be given in August (where you will be out with our main driver for a day to learn the role).
ABOUT THE ROLE
The main tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Driving around the countryside and narrow lanes collecting bin bags from holiday cottages in our company van.
- Disposing of the bin bags at the waste transfer station (Milford Haven)
- Using an app to log collections and follow routes.
- Reporting any issues to office staff by WhatsApp or email
As a relief driver, you would be required to cover planned absence (staff annual leave) and also called upon at potentially short notice to cover staff sickness. You would be working on your own.

You will be a genuine team player who will share our passion for great service.
You’ll be driving our 3.5 tonne truck around the most scenic parts of the Pembrokeshire and beyond, so an excellent driving record is a must.
You will be representing us out on the road so you will need to be friendly, courteous and happy to chat with owners or guests who you meet. You will enjoy driving on your own but being in regular contact with our operations team in the office.
