Work for a charity, in a fast paced role. No experience necessary.
We’re a small, hard-working recruitment team, part of a national charity that offers support to people with learning disabilities and autism. We’re values-led, practical, and committed to doing things properly - and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.
As a Recruitment Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our recruitment activity compliant, accurate and running smoothly. This is a busy and varied role where strong communication, perseverance, and attention to detail really matter. What you do helps keep our services safe, and ensures that the right people are joining our teams across the country.
What you'll be doing:
- Auditing and onboarding: You’ll ensure all new starter documentation meets internal and external requirements - including DBS checks, right to work checks, and referencing. You’ll gain an excellent working knowledge of relevant recruitment guidance issued by external regulators, from the Care Quality Commission and Ofsted to the Home Office.
- Reporting: You’ll create and maintain reports on new starters, leavers, and staff retention, using the data to support insight and decision-making.
- Advising and guiding: You’ll be the first port of call for recruitment-related queries, offering clear, informed advice, and sometimes holding firm when things need to be done a certain way.
- Collaborating: You’ll build strong working relationships with colleagues in HR, Payroll, regional admin, and our services.
- Process improvement: You’ll work with regional teams to correct and improve recruitment processes where they’re inconsistent or unclear.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
