About the Service
As part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), Second Step delivers community mental health support in collaboration with Alabaré, Missing Link and Nilaari. Together, we’re transforming mental health services by focusing on trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally inclusive approaches.
The Recovery Navigator role offers either a traditional or peer-based approach, where individuals with lived experience of mental health can provide powerful, hope-inspiring support as part of their role.

- Use your own lived experience (if applicable) to provide hope and connection.
- Support individuals with navigation around housing, employment, relationships, and mental wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely casework, risk assessments, and outcome monitoring.
- Promote recovery, inclusion, and equity in everything you do.
You’ll need:
At least two years’ experience supporting people with mental health or complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads, work flexibly, and build effective multi-agency partnerships.
- Confidence in IT systems and record-keeping.
