Job Title: Receptionist

Duration: This is a temporary role running from Thu 3rd July – Sun 10th August 2025

Location: Priority House, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, ME16 9PH

Hours: 2 week working pattern, rotated -
Week 1: Tue & Thu, 1pm – 7pm and Sat & Sun, 7am – 1pm (22 hours)
Week 2: Tue & Thu, 1pm – 7pm (11 hours)

Pay Banding: Band 2 -
Weekdays: £12.21 per hour
Saturdays: £17.22 per hour
Sundays: £22.34 per hour

Trust Location: Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust

The postholder must have the following experience:

Reception experience

Good typing skills

Good customer service

Job Description

· Answering telephone calls and transferring to wards, departments at Priority House

· First point of contact on reception

· Greeting visitors and staff attending site

· Directing staff/visitors to wards other are

· Issuing parking permits to staff & visitors

· Franking post and recording details

· Will be working on their own

· Unlock and lock the main doors for reception in the morning

· Giving out access cards and fobs to staff and recording details

· Giving out keys, locker keys to staff and recording the details

· Sorting out internal and external mail

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
