The Original Manor House Hotel on Dartmoor nestled in a secluded valley beneath the wild tors of Dartmoor National Park, Lewtrenchard Manor is a grand Jacobean manor is currently being refurbished to reopen towards the end of May 2025.
Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Drive revenue through all available channels and outlets
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage scheduling and appointments using office software.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is up-to-date in our systems.
- Manage and control guest accounts ensuring that accurate payments and ledgers
- Assist with clerical duties as required
- Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Support administrative functions as needed, including handling correspondence and managing office supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with data entry processes and attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
