This role will provide leadership and oversight of several projects at SJP. At times, the role-holder will be hands on in supporting projects and solving problems and issues that arise.

As well as providing oversight to projects, the RDO Lead (Comms & People) will work in collaboration with the communication teams to build and deliver a transformation communication and engagement plan. The RDO Lead (Comms & People) will also work with the HR team, providing input to the strategic people plan and making sure that the business has the capabilities it needs to delivery on its strategic transformation goals. The RDO Lead (Comms & People) will maintain a change management plan across the transformation, and will provide guidance to change agents in the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that strategic projects deliver the benefits they have been designed to achieve.
  • Oversee strategic projects to ensure that project strategies align with the organisation’s objectives.
  • At times provide more hands-on support to strategic projects to solve problems and deal with issues that could de-rail their success.
  • Ensure that strategic projects are properly scoped, and goals and deliverables are identified. Make sure that interdependencies between projects are identified and managed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executive committee members who will act as sponsors for many of the initiatives we establish.
  • Ensure that projects have the right resources and capabilities to deliver.
  • Working in collaboration with communications teams, lead communication and engagement activities to build commitment to the transformation
  • Lead development and execution of transformation communications plan, working in close collaboration with communications teams
  • Gather and interpret change health data and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Support behavior change in the organisation
  • Provide guidance and direction to change agents
  • Lead change management and business readiness across the transformation, working with individual projects to ensure that the overall change is delivered effectively
  • Manage human side of change, including monitoring change impacts and disruption (resistance)

Work closely with HR to ensure that the organisation has the capabilities it requires to deliver the transformation

Essential Criteria

  • Must be confident in communicating with all levels, up to GEC.
  • Strong track record of leading change effectively
  • Demonstrable experience in being able to understand problems and set a strategy to navigate those, while managing stakeholders through that
  • Demonstrable experience of managing individuals outside of your direct report
