Job Overview
Factories only work if they’ve got the right raw materials in the right quantities and at the right time.
This job is about making sure that the factory never stops by carefully planning when purchase orders arrive, in the correct quantity, and maintaining the safety stocks whilst strategically balancing inventory to prevent overstocking. You will spot problems/shortages before they arise and work to resolve them with your problem-solving skills.
You will need to be highly organised, handle pressure with confidence and control and be able to prioritise your workload.
You’ll be doing things like:
· Placing low and high value purchase orders.
- Making sure raw materials get delivered when required.
- Working closely with suppliers, with communication by telephone and email.
- Attend planning meetings and providing input regarding materials.
- Working closely with production planners.
- Processing imports paperwork.
- Assisting finance with invoice queries and warehouse with delivery queries.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding rejected materials.
You’ll need to bring:
- Experience in stock/materials planning (if it’s in manufacturing, even better).
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills.
- Great communication skills by telephone and email.
- A high level of spoken and written English.
- A problem-solving attitude.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
