We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children's development and learning through play. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of children, ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of young children.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Manage daily activities within the nursery setting, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide leadership within the team, mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.
- Collaborate with parents to support children's learning at home and address any concerns they may have.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided within the nursery.
Skills
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team and guide educational practices.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing challenges within the nursery environment.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting resources or attending off-site activities.
