Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the accounts data entry, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices. This position requires strong computing skills and familiarity with Xero accounting software would be beneficial, making it ideal for individuals with a background in finance or accounting.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain the purchase ledger and reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy.
- Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to accounts payable and assist with other financial administrative duties as required.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role, particularly within accounts payable or purchase ledger functions.
- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal team members.
