Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled PTS Fencer to join our team completing rail contracts around South Wales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction-related tasks and will be responsible for erecting, repairing, and maintaining fencing structures. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Construct and install various types of fencing, including clipex, wooden, palisade, and chain-link fences.
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately to ensure proper placement.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete fencing projects.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their fencing needs and provide recommendations.
- Perform repairs on existing fences, ensuring they are secure and aesthetically pleasing.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site.
Skills
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques relevant to fencing construction.
- Experience in fencing on rail contracts.
- Ability to use hand tools such as saws, hammers, and drills effectively.
- Familiarity with power tools including nail guns and concrete breakers.
- Basic fabrication skills for custom fence designs or repairs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
