Stepping Stones is a family run residential care service in Gloucestershire, founded in 1983. We have six homes throughout Gloucestershire.
We specialise in supporting individuals with a learning disability, autistic spectrum condition and mental health conditions and who also present with complex and challenging needs.
We are looking to recruit a Property Maintenance Operative for our Mental health nursing home who will ensure our home is kept in good repair and safe for the people we care for.
Main Duties
This is a lone working position where you will be multi-skilled and required to carry out repairs, small building works, decorating, joinery, plumbing, or any other maintenance task needed. You will also need a good understanding of health and safety.
You will report to the Home Manager or delegate and work alongside Property Maintenance staff.
Essential
Have an empathy to the people who live in our homes.
Previous experience in building or property maintenance.
Friendly, approachable and professional, you will be a motivated individual.
Be able to work as part of a team or individually carrying out work to a high standard, safely, accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
Experience of using a range of tools and equipment adhering to health and safety requirements.
Good level of health and fitness.
IT Literate with an understanding of microsoft packages.
Full UK drivers licence.
The role is Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00, however some out of hours work may be required to deal with emergency call-outs.
