About the Role
Cow’s Milk Allergy (CMA) presents a growing challenge. We’re seeking a Project Dietitian to take clinical and project leadership in transforming CMA management across NHS Tayside.
In this unique role, you will lead the development and implementation of a consistent CMA care pathway, support full adherence to the specialist baby milk formulary, and work closely with health visitors, family nurses, GPs, and paediatric teams to improve clinical outcomes while significantly reducing waste.

- What You’ll Do
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of the specialist baby milk formulary across NHS Tayside
- Provide expert clinical leadership on CMA diagnosis and management
- Educate and support health visitors, family nurses, GPs, and other professionals
- Review and oversee all requests for Amino Acid-based specialist baby milk ensuring appropriate use
- Develop and deliver training, resources, and updated guidance on CMA
- Monitor and provide clinical input where SBM prescribing may not align with current best practice or recommended clinical guidance

Report quarterly on project progress, outcomes, and financial savings
- The post holder should be able to evidence excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills, as well as having a passion for working with children, young people and their parents and carers. You must have good skills and be able to work on your own as well as working closely with medical, nursing, AHP and other healthcare staff and dietetic colleagues to deliver integrated nutritional care.
Current NHS Tayside Employees - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
