Project Co-ordinator

National Trust
Derby, England

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***

We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join the team as Project Co-ordinator at Kedleston Hall, to support the transformational Museum Project and the delivery of an exhibition launching in 2026. You’ll use your administration experience to support the smooth running of the project and get hands-on with transforming the visitor experience at one of the National Trust’s Discovery Houses.

You'll work 2 days per week until February 2026.

There is an expectation that you’ll be able to regularly travel to Kedleston, but some hybrid working is available.

What it's like to work here:Kedleston Hall is an outstanding 18th-century mansion renowned for its internationally significant art and architecture. Inherited by George Nathaniel Curzon, Viceroy of India between 1899 and 1905, the hall also houses the Museum collection featuring the many objects he collected from South Asia and the Middle East. The Museum Project aims to increase the public benefit of the Museum collection, in response to the voices of current and future audiences.

Using co-creation, new partners and an iterative process of re-display testing, we're working differently to create a collection that looks different, feels, different and is viewed differently. Working at Kedleston means joining a fast-paced and motivated team committed to creating a culture of inclusion and developing an exciting new visitor offer which welcomes everyone.

Reporting to the Property Curator, you'll work closely alongside the Project Manager and the project team to support the delivery of the next phase of the Musuem Project and upcoming exhibition.

What you'll be doing:You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Museum Project and upcoming exhibition. You’ll work alongside the Project Manager, Property Curator and Kedleston project team to ensure the smooth running of the project.

You’ll support open and productive communication, record keeping and administration, whilst being prepared to get stuck into the nuts and bolts of project and exhibition delivery when needed. Through building strong relationships, you’ll support the productivity of all members of the project team, as well as liaising regularly with internal and external stakeholders and partners. You’ll support the Project Manager keeping the project on track and budget, and assist the Property Curator with developing the exhibition design. Because the team delivering the Museum Project is so small, you'll be part of a team where everyone gets involved with everything to produce amazing visitor experiences.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what's possible in this role.
