Programme Support Officer – Fixed Term until 30th June 2026.

About the Role:

The Change and Integration Programme is hosted by Wirral but is a small regional team that works across 9 Local Authorities and the Health system on a joint programme to ensure leaders collaborate to deliver improved services for children and their families

This role is the lynchpin of the team supporting and coordinating the programme activities across several workstreams and core functions. It is a mix of administration and project work with opportunities to take on small projects including communications, organise workshops and undertake desk-based research. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting high level Boards, have proven skills of stakeholder engagements as well as delivery of projects. S/he will have some knowledge and interest in children’s health or the not-for-profit sector.

There is an expectation to attend an office base at least once a week either in Wirral, Warrington or Liverpool.

About the candidate:

The Programme Support Officer will provide effective programme support to the Cheshire & Merseyside Change and Integration Programme in the co-ordination, delivery and monitoring of the agreed outputs, outcomes and quality across various workstreams including Special Education Needs, Emotional Wellbeing and Corporate Parenting. You will have experience in a similar role working with senior stakeholders whilst holding many lines of enquires open with knowledge of how programmes are organised and delivered.
