The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm’s commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.
The Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for maximizing the value and impact of data globally, in a highly governed way. It consists of several teams focused on accelerating JPMorgan Chase’s data, analytics and AI journey, including; data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation and talent.
Job Description
The Strategy and Execution team is responsible for defining and articulating the CDO vision and strategy, and executing on strategic initiatives to deliver the target state roadmap. The team leads critical projects that enable Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions with the tools and solutions to achieve AI-ready data, and effectively and efficiently manage data risk.
As an associate in Portfolio Management within the Firmwide CDO, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of portfolio management tools, the running of the day to day portfolio operations, ensuring strong portfolio management governance and running the reporting and control framework of the CDO change portfolio. You will also support the data agenda and roadmap for the organization through the management of portfolio governance, metrics, reporting, and communications.
Job Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of tooling to support the CDO change portfolio governance, reporting and control frameworks
• Ensure there is transparency into the delivery roadmap, identifying trends and critical RAID items
• Run processes to measure and report on portfolio performance and metrics, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with all key stakeholders to gather status updates, drive program reporting and alignment on program deliverables and objectives
• Drive portfolio management discipline & continuous improvement across firmwide CDO
• Support the production of all portfolio governance forum packs in support of the firmwide CDO execution governance
• Ensure we can evidence that the firmwide execution governed is happening as planned
• Develop and maintain deep relationships with stakeholders across Lines of Businesses and functional areas
• Coach the wider org in the portfolio processes and tools
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in Portfolio / Program / Change Management governance and process design
• Previous experience of supporting the running of portfolio management across a large complex organisation
• Ability to produce executive level portfolio status packs
• Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals
• Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of functions
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas and challenges in a succinct way
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/ Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• A strong data, analytics or product background is important
• Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred
