Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in line setting, machine maintenance, and materials handling. This role involves operating various machinery and tools to produce high-quality cosmetic products while ensuring adherence to safety standards and production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain automatic and semi-automatic filling, capping and labelling equipment.
- Manage a small team of machine operatives.
- Assemble products according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively for various production tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and tools to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during manufacturing.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with production processes and a wide range of machinery are highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, including materials handling skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
