Love Handmade Cakes is a fast growing, award winning multi-channel business who are seeking Production Operatives for their Leeds based manufacturing site.
To ensure that raw material is turned into finished product efficiently and effectively with due regard to all legal, safety and quality requirements in line with the site BRC Food Safety & Quality Manual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will have the ability to work quickly & safely to meet production targets.
- Have the patience to carry out repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Use of observation skills to spot defective product & remove from the production process.
- Ability to follow strict Health & Safety guidelines & quality control procedures.
- The ability to effectively work with other people in a well-organised manner, & who can communicate fluently as needed.
- To have the effective product knowledge & being able to spot & escalate issues directly to the Line Manager.
- To follow all company procedures & guidelines in a safe & effective way.
- Responsibility for food safety & cleanliness, ensuring that the full compliance with company procedure.
Key Attributes/Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak to both management and operators in a polite but firm manner.
- Able to work in a fast-moving environment.
- An understanding of food safety principles and application.
- Able to multi-skill and multi-task.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly with regards to production planning and controls.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
