As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services for the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of materials.
Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize procurement processes
- Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Review and analyse purchase requisitions
- Monitor inventory levels and track deliveries to ensure timely supply
- Utilise procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs
Skills
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with suppliers
- Experience working with procurement systems like SAP or Oracle EBS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
