We’re looking for a reliable, thorough, and professional cleaner to join our friendly team at Extra Help Cotswold.
This is a flexible, self-employed role ideal for someone who takes real pride in their cleaning standards and understands the value of a tidy, welcoming home - especially for those who need a bit of extra support in daily life. Many of our clients are older adults, individuals with additional needs, or busy professionals and families who genuinely appreciate a cleaner who’s not only efficient but also kind, respectful, and dependable.
You’ll mainly be responsible for delivering high-quality domestic cleaning in private homes, often working independently. Occasionally, you may be asked to assist with light home help tasks (such as laundry, bed changes, or errands), so a flexible attitude is important.
This role is a great fit for someone with previous cleaning experience looking for flexible hours and fulfilling work that makes a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough, high-standard cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and other household areas
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, wiping down surfaces, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitise kitchens, bathrooms and other living spaces to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Tidy and organise spaces to help keep homes calm and clutter-free
- Occasionally assist with simple home help tasks such as changing bed linens, making beds, supporting with laundry, grocery shopping, running errands, or light meal prep, when requested
- Adapt to each client’s household preferences and routines with a caring and professional approach
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, using appropriate cleaning products (provided)
Requirements
- A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A caring, respectful attitude towards clients and their homes
- Someone who enjoys working independently and builds trust easily
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is strongly preferred
- Flexible, self-motivated, and dependable
- Full driving licence and access to a reliable car is essential
- Willingness to obtain or provide a DBS check and personal liability insurance
