Do you want to help WSP to help healthcare providers plan and deliver world class, future ready hospitals?
Our Healthcare Advisory team works in the UK, primarily with NHS clients across primary, community, acute and mental health sectors, to:
- provide healthcare planning
- coordinate and write business cases to secure capital funding for investment in new healthcare developments
- develop estate strategies
- plan moves into new hospitals;
- provide PPP consultancy support;
- all underpinned by solid project and programme management skills.
We have ambitious growth plans and a strong pipeline of work and you would be joining our Healthcare Advisory team between Principal and Technical Director levels. We are looking for dynamic, ambitious candidates with experience, ideally with a property/construction consultancy, in two or more of the following disciplines:
- healthcare planning (primary care, mental health, acute services)
- estate strategy development
- business case development (primary care or larger acute projects)
- operational commissioning
- PPP technical / commercial consultancy support
YOUR TEAM

Our Healthcare Advisory team provides a range of strategic advisory and project delivery expertise to NHS Trusts, independent hospitals, contractors and PPP consortia across a variety of procurement routes.

We are currently integrating our offer with Lexica, a healthcare and life sciences consultancy providing healthcare strategy and planning, property consultancy, cost, project and programme management, digital advisory and transformation, life sciences strategy and Net Zero consulting, following its recent acquisition in support of our growth plans.
The team you will join sits alongside a large number of complementary teams, working on many of the country’s most iconic projects, providing services such as economic advisory; commercial management; project, programme and design management; FM advisory; risk consultancy; building surveying; property surveying; environmental and energy advice; engineering design; digital solutions; transport planning, geographical information systems and development advice. An exciting part of the role is the opportunity to connect these services with our healthcare clients to help make their services and estates future ready.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Degree qualified
- PRINCE 2, MSP, APMPQ, Better Business Cases, or MSc Planning Buildings for Health.
- UK/NHS health sector experience working for a professional services consultancy.
- Knowledge of NHS property and capital project policy, processes, guidance and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting work winning activity including presentations and tender submissions.
- Experience preparing and updating resource plans and financial forecasts for business management/reporting purposes.
