We're Hiring: Skilled Press Brake Operative with CNC Laser & Punch Programming Experience
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Press Brake Operative to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will also be confident in running and programming CNC laser cutting and punching machines, ensuring precision and efficiency across multiple processes.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role suited to someone who enjoys variety, technical challenges, and producing high-quality fabricated components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal to spec
- Program and run CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada – or specify your brand)
- Program and operate CNC punch presses
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow job sheets accurately
- Carry out basic maintenance checks on machines
- Perform quality checks and ensure finished parts meet tolerances
- Work safely, efficiently, and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with other team members in production and fabrication
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating press brakes (manual and/or CNC)
- Experience programming and running CNC laser and punch machines
- Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and bend allowances
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, RADAN, Lantek, or similar)
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Forklift license (advantageous but not essential)
