We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Pot Washer to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our kitchen and supports our chefs and front-of-house staff by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash pots, pans, trays, and utensils quickly and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Operate industrial dishwashing machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized pot wash area.
- Dispose of kitchen waste correctly.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Physically demanding role: prolonged standing, frequent bending, and lifting of heavy items (up to 20 kg).
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and fast-paced conditions for extended periods.
- Requires manual handling and repetitive tasks for the majority of the shift.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work Saturdays and one day during the week with potential for additional cover if needed.
- Prior experience is helpful but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic, good timekeeping, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to cope under pressure and manage a high workload during peak hours.
