Person specification
Essential
- Good understanding of electricity markets and the economics of investment and operation in those markets, including Wholesale Market, trading, balancing services markets, CfD scheme and network charging and access.
- The ability to develop policy areas, identify & analyse complex problems; work with analytical, technical, and legal professionals to develop solutions and options; and present policy recommendations that consider the trade-offs and risks, and dependencies that help senior colleagues reach a decision.
- Ability to think strategically and support the team to produce and use quantitative and qualitative evidence to develop a thoughtful and independent viewpoint.
- Experience of delivering tasks or projects against challenging deadlines with minimal supervision, and the ability to react appropriately to fast changing circumstances and unforeseen challenges.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to non-expert audiences.
