Job Title: Podiatry Administrator
Location: Murray House, Jordan Hill Business Park, Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 8TA – 2-3 weeks training will be required at either Wantage / Didcot or Abingdon offices.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Role type: Temporary for 3 months with possibility of extension
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Provide professional, effective and efficient clinical and administrative support to the Clinic Manager / Administrator and Podiatrists working within the department. To be the first point of contact for patients within the Podiatry Department, managing appointments and queries, assisting patients as required and preparation of clinics as required.
· Maintain the electronic clinic appointment diary and available appointment slots using EMIS, Choose & Book and any other system introduced by the Trust. Deal with all written and telephone requests for an appointment, including the cancellation and re-booking of clinic sessions.
· Registering patient details on EMIS, checking current details are accurate and synchronizing records appropriately.
· Checking referrals received, including those through Choose & Book, liaising with Podiatrists, if necessary, to ensure the patient has an appropriate appointment.
· Upload all referral and supporting information on to EMIS.
· Manage the incoming mail (fax, electronic and post), date stamp and allocate to the appropriate clinician. Manage the outgoing mail.
· Undertake administrative tasks to support the Team Leader/ Administrator e.g., maintain rotas, annual/sick leave spreadsheets, minute taking.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

· Minute taking experience
· Strong attention to detail
· NHS experience (desirable)
· EMIS system experience (desirable)
· Competent with Microsoft office programmes (essential)
