Job Title: Plate Mounter/Pre-Press
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plate Mounter in the Pre Press Department.
Main Purpose: Ensure manufacturing receives pre-press items, such as plates and engraved sleeves, in a timely manner and in alignment with the production plan.
Main Duties:
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Prioritize health and safety at all times.
- Actively participate in the Near Miss program, encouraging team members to identify and address any safety concerns.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure equipment is fit for purpose
Plate Mounting and Production:
- Operate machinery to produce items according to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Manage workloads to minimize downtime on print machines.
- Monitor quality consistently and take corrective action as needed.
- Adjust machinery to maintain product quality.
- Clean and store print sleeves appropriately.
- Conduct required quality assurance (QA) testing and accurately record results.
- Assist in general preventative maintenance, including essential daily and weekly cleaning.
Pre-Press Activities:
- Clean Anilox rollers by hand or machine.
- Record accurate readings from each cleaned Anilox.
- Assist other department operators during peak workloads.
Job Specifications:
- Good standard education (minimum 3 x GCSEs, Maths & English, or equivalent) with basic knowledge of health and safety.
- Experience in a print environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably in Plate Mounting/Pre-Press.
- IT literate with experience in operating computer-operated machines.
- Well-organized and able to plan work to demanding deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexibly to suit the needs of the business.
- Willingness to accommodate the working shift pattern, work overtime, and support other departments as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,900.00-£32,196.00 per year
