About the role:
We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members – who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers' products picked and packed, and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels.
We now have an opportunity for a Planner – Sales and Capacity to join the Planning team. This role plays a vital part in forecasting and planning the resources needed to meet customer demand while supporting sales growth. Working in a 24/7 shift-based operation, this role is key to balancing customer slot availability with the cost-effective use of Ocado’s delivery capacity.
As a Planner – Sales and Capacity, you will:
- Use your analytical and organisational skills to plan short- to mid-term labour and capacity in line with forecasted sales targets
- Monitor sales predictions and react quickly to changing customer demand and operational ramp plans
- Maintain accurate, cost-effective resource plans and live route data to support efficient delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Logistics, Retail, and Planning to ensure slot availability and plan alignment Identify opportunities for improvement and help implement planning process enhancements
To be considered for the Planner – Sales and Capacity role, you’ll need:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving mindset
- Confidence working in Excel and other data tools (preferred: QGIS, VBA, SQL)
- Ability to prioritise, adapt quickly to change, and remain calm under pressure
- Experience in logistics or planning environments would be desirable
